REQUIREMENTS
- Weld County resident for two of the student’s high school years with one being their senior year.
- Stay Enrolled at your higher education institute or training program
- Maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA
- FAFSA
- 16 hours of community service in Weld County
- The grant must be started within 2 years of GED or graduation and completed within 6 years
HIGH SCHOOL CHECKLIST
- Create an online account at www.brightfuturesco.com
- Complete an online application
- Complete your FAFSA and upload the page that identifies your Expected Family Contribution (EFC) information in the Programs section, by adding a new program. Enter the EFC value in the box, as well.
- Complete 16 hours of community service in Weld County and upload your completed community service log to Programs.
- Attend the mandatory meeting and acknowledge your attendance in Programs.
- Enter school interest information in ‘My Colleges’–check the enrolled box and select the appropriate semester and school year.
