Principal's Message

Dear WCHS Family,
Thank you for an excellent beginning of the year, although we have had some internet issues. that the IT department is working hard to remedy as soon as possible.

Our students have been participating in the new phone policies with the maturity and understanding that we anticipated. Thank you to all of you for your support.

This year, we are implementing a new weekly student and athlete recognition program to celebrate our incredible community. It is really amazing to belong to such a positive environment!
Have a terrific weekend, Mr. Ng

Back-to-School

Thank you to our counseling team, teachers, and support staff for assisting and supporting our students in a smooth beginning of the year transition.

College and Career Readiness (CCR)

Our Career, College, and Work-Based Learning program is designed to help students explore their interests, develop real-world skills, and prepare for life after high school. Whether students plan to attend college, join the workforce, enlist in the military, or pursue a trade, our goal is to connect them with the resources and experiences they need to succeed. Students are welcome to visit Room 301A to connect with Ms. Ferguson for help.

Message from the Dean

Greetings WCHS families,

Thank you for all of your support this year with setting up a safe, respectful, and focused learning environment for all of our students.  Our classrooms have had only a handful of disturbances due to cell phones being used in class this week. Already, we are seeing expected positive results, similar to other schools enforcing cell phone restrictions, as reported in this linked article.  As a reminder, for any students who use cell phones during class time without permission, parents will need to come to campus to pick up their child’s cell phone.

We are also pleased to share that nearly all students have been following our school’s dress code expectations.  With this expectation being followed, students can focus on learning with fewer distractions.  For any students not in dress code, loaner shirts and shorts will be issued at the main office.

Last, parents of students who are driving to campus, please set aside some time this weekend to review the importance of driving safely to school.  We want all WCHS students to arrive at school safe and ready to learn.  Students who do not follow this expectation of driving safely will forfeit their ability to park on campus.

Thank you, WCHS families, for a fantastic start to the school year, and best wishes for a pleasant weekend.

Mr. Bryant
