Message from the Dean
Greetings WCHS Families,
Many thanks to everyone for your support regarding our new cell phone policy.  We continue to hear positive feedback about these changes as we refine our application of this expectation.  One area we would like to see improvement in is phones staying silent during class while they are put away.  Some students have struggled to keep their phones on silent, as this step is sometimes forgotten before classes begin.
One solution we encourage parents to review with their children is setting a routine on their phone to go silent automatically.  As these YouTube tutorials can walk you through, cell phones can be programmed to go silent at any chosen time during the day.  If students can set their phones to focus-silent mode as they start classes at 7:55, it will be one more step toward creating distraction-free classes.
